The International Trade Office offers educational and technical export assistance to Iowa companies. Marketing Managers provide individual consultation, in-house training and educational seminars to both new-to-export companies and experienced exporters.

One-on-one export counseling is readily available from our staff who combined have over 100 years international experience (including private sector), providing Iowa businesses with invaluable resources to identify such issues as product suitability, best markets, appropriate trade shows, qualified contacts, distribution channels, trade barriers, export requirements, logistics, documentation and so on.
Our global offices and representatives support Iowa companies in identification of prospective business partners. They can perform essential introductions and arrange business appointments with potential customers, agents and distributors. They can also conduct product specific research, pre- and post-show promotion and follow-up assistance.
Companies often require brief training sessions on specific aspects of export operations. The International Trade Office offers in-house training for export topics such as international banking, international finance, responding to trade leads, product classification, free trade agreements and export compliance.
The International Trade Office coordinates a variety of seminars each year. Topics range from export compliance, export 101, finance, international banking, logistics, transportation, etc.
These seminars are a tremendous tool for local developers, chambers of commerce and other business organizations that seek to help their businesses succeed domestically and abroad.
