The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) is partnering with CMB Regional Centers to manage and operate the recently amended Iowa Regional Center as part of the EB-5 program.
The EB-5 (Immigrant Investor) program was authorized by Congress in 1990, to target qualified foreigners seeking to obtain lawful permanent residency by investing in a business that will benefit the U.S. economy and create or save at least 10 full-time U.S. jobs. Under this program, administered by the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), the Iowa Regional Center will work with CMB to identify and coordinate these efforts.
Formerly these efforts in Iowa were very limited to dairy operations. A new strategic approach to the Iowa Regional Center’s EB-5 program will offer more opportunities for investors to positively impact Iowa’s economy.
CMB is well-known for its management of EB-5 projects. The addition of the Iowa Regional Center will help them to expand into additional geographic areas and provide interested investors with the opportunity to participate in capital projects in Iowa.
