Taking Action
Action is initiated when a petition is formally filed with the Board. A petition
may be filed by:
- A city council.
- A county board of supervisors.
- An areawide planning organization.
- Five percent of the qualified electors of a city or a territory.
The Board may also take the initiative in requesting that a petition be filed or
may develop its own petition.
