Helping businesses learn about Iowa licensing requirements
The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) helps entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and succeed by providing complimentary, timely access to the IASourceLink network of 320+ nonprofit resource organizations that provide business-building services. The IEDA facilitates the linking of these organizations to one another and to established, emerging and startup businesses.
Iowa does not have a “general business license.” Licensing and other compliance requirements are based on the nature of a business or professional occupation. IASourceLink provides a comprehensive license search engine and personalized assistance to help identify compliance requirements.
