New Iowa development-ready location offers security, fire rescue on-site

Iowa’s latest certified site, just west of Burlington, is on a military installation – the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant – and therefore has no zoning restrictions and ambulance, EMT, fire rescue and security on site. Named the Commerce Center of Southeast Iowa, it’s a 152.9 acre plot of land that’s ready for development.

The Commerce Center of Southeast Iowa, like all Iowa certified sites, is certified by nationally-recognized site selection firm McCallum Sweeney Consulting. It’s less than five miles from two U.S. highways and is served by rail. For more information, contact David Toyer of the Greater Burlington Partnership at dtoyer@greaterburlington.com.

There are currently 11 development-ready certified sites in Iowa. Iowa is also one of the best states for doing business, according to Site Selection magazine. The state has a positive business climate and one of the lowest costs of doing business in the country.
