September 6, 2016

Looking for an educated workforce? There’s something Iowa does better than any other state—graduate our students. More than 90 percent of Iowa high school students graduate each year. That’s the highest percentage in the country.

Our students also score well on standardized tests. In 2015, Iowans had the second highest average score on the ACT.* In addition, the state of Iowa has made STEM education a priority, with STEM programs already reaching more than 100,000 K-12 students. Our universities are also STEM oriented – Iowa ranks 5th among all states in STEM degrees earned per 1,000 residents.

Our state’s excellence in education is one reason we have such wonderful workers in Iowa – top 6 in the U.S. according to Chief Executive. What else does Iowa have to offer your business? Check out iowaeconomicdevelopment.com.
