Iowa Sites Ready for Development

May 4, 2015

Iowa has several industrial sites certified and ready for development with more coming online this summer. Ideal for large-scale industrial complexes, the communities of  Dexter, Fort Dodge, Iowa Falls and Van Meter each have a certified site of 200 acres or more.

These sites feature either interstate or rail access or both, plus key utility infrastructure in the ground and ready for hook-up. Iowa’s certified site program, designed and implemented by the nationally recognized site selection firm McCallum Sweeney Consulting, parallels a typical site location process.

Once credentialed, an Iowa Certified Site has relevant site-related data and documentation accumulated and is designated as “development-ready.”

If your company is looking to build new facilities and are searching for sites that are not only suitable for development but are also relatively “risk-free,” Iowa’s Certified Sites can fill the demand for project-ready industrial sites.
