CAT Marketing Funds
Starting in FY 2009, legislation requires that $100,000 of each annual CAT allocation be used to market Vision Iowa and CAT projects.  These allocations have been subtracted from the CAT allocations listed above.

RIVER ENHANCEMENT COMMUNITY ATTRACTION & TOURISM (RECAT) PROGRAM

During the 2008 legislative session, the River Enhancement Community Attraction and Tourism (RECAT) program was created.  This funding source is to be used for projects that relate to, connect with and enhance a river or lake.

Applications have been received to date: 11

Funded Projects: 8

RECAT Amount Awarded: $9,173,000

Total RECAT Project Costs: $48,237,472

Funding for RECAT was eliminated during the 2011 legislative session.


VISION IOWA PROGRAM

Twenty-six (26) applications for Vision Iowa funding have been received to date.  Fourteen (14) have been funded through Vision Iowa (two projects have received additional funds from CAT.)
