New Alternative Energy Fueled Vehicle and Refueling Equipment on Display

Public Invited to View New Compressed Natural Gas Car

In a continuing effort to build strong, self-sustaining partnerships with industry, stakeholders, fleets, fuel suppliers, and business partners with the goal of decreasing dependence on petroleum, the Iowa Clean Cities Coalition in collaboration with the Gabus Automotive Group & NatGas Services LC, is hosting an open house to showcase the new Noble compressed natural gas (CNG) car and “Small Q” CNG refueling equipment.

The American-made Noble CNG car, which will be available for purchase later this year at Des Moines Motors, is 100% fueled by CNG, a safe, economical and clean transportation fuel.   The vehicle runs 50 MPG on CNG and can be upgraded to accept dual fuel.  In terms of cost, the nationwide average for gasoline in July 2011 was $3.68 versus $2.07 for CNG.  Currently, there are over 13 million CNG vehicles worldwide and only 112,000 on the road in the US.

Stop by and see this environmentally-friendly, clean-burning vehicle for yourself!

This open house is free and open to the public and media.
