Justifying Energy Efficiency as a Business Investment Webinar to be held on March 29, 2012

Des Moines, IA (March 15, 2012) - Registration is now open for the “Justifying Energy  Efficiency as a Business Investment” webinar to be held on Thursday, March 29 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  The free webinar is geared to corporate financial decision-makers, facility managers, economic development and environmentally-minded professionals and will focus on why energy is more than "a cost of doing business" and how energy improvements can and should respond directly to fundamental business goals such as capital recovery, cash flow, and return on investment.

The webinar, hosted by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and Partnership for Industrial Energy Efficiency (PIE2), will be presented by Christopher Russell, a nationally-recognized expert in the design and implementation of energy cost control strategies for business organizations.  Russell will provide an overview of energy's relationship to business and explain how energy performance is linked to investment results.

Russell approaches energy from a marketing, finance, and business development perspective. He is the author of "Managing Energy from the Top Down" and "North American Energy Audit Program Best Practices." Christopher Russell holds an M.B.A. and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and a B.A. from McGill University. He is recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager and as a Carbon Reduction Manager. He is a member of the Leadership Baltimore County class of 2006.
